Český Krumlov is a
city in the South Bohemia region of the Czech Republic. It’s
bisected by the Vltava River, and dominated by its 13th-century
castle. There are panoramic views of the old town and the river from
the top of its round bell tower.Český Krumlov’s old town, has narrow
cobblestone lanes, footbridges and restored Gothic and Renaissance
frescoes on building facades. The Church of St. Vitus has its own
15th-century frescoes. The Regional Museum traces local history, and
has a 19th-century model of the city. Exploring the river by kayak
or on traditional wooden rafts is a popular summer pastime.
Riverside pubs serve renowned Czech beers.
